This little car has me well since I bought in July (it is now served in October). Pavilion DV2-1030US is a product in its market segment. It's too big to be a netbook, but its performance and the prices are a bit "too weak to be ultra-portable than real. This means that the notebook is equipped with its own set of compromises. / Br br / Pro: br / pricebr low and weightbr Light / High-graphicsbr / looksbr Good / Good screen resolution, so ISBR / works well withWindows 7 (see restrictions below) br / extendable know Bluetooth and 3G WWAN (if you where to look) br / 'Now, CPU (netbook standards br) / br / Cons: br / poor battery life for Trotter / OS Sent-slow and fraught with the preinstalled applicationsbr / anemic performance of the CPU (by ultraportable standards) – processorbr could be no doubt, from a dual-core / screen has poor eyesight anglebr Hinge / window you can benefit only the angle of 45 Grade anglebr Open / w multi-touch trackpadbr use/ Shiny black plastic is a magnet for fingerprintsbr / s bluetoothbr integrated / br / Note: br / Use the supplied operating system (Vista Home Premium 64-bit), the system was so slow that it was virtually unusable. Has a lot of memory to run the operating system, but the hard drive and CPU have been completely occupied by Vista and installed all the software trial. Thus, the RC installed by Windows 7, and later the RTM. Windows 7 was fast, very beautiful, and it has worked well. However, I had problemswith the support of the administration in power. Could not be closed cleanly, Hibernate, or resumed from sleep. Support for most hardware-in was at best incomplete, even with 64-bit drivers for Vista (like the accelerator hard drive, a webcam) SD reader and wireless networking. The support has improved recently, a BIOS upgrade from HP – I can not reliably close to the rule, the use of wireless networks, the webcam works, as the reader SDHC. Support hardAcceleration unit is still lacking. I am sure that support for all hardware just to be better than Windows 7 is officially released and then support HP.br / br / normal for the playback of SD video, the DV2-1030us works well. I had problems with the audio / video sync and dropped frames out and trying to play 720p video via VLC. The latest version of Media Player Classic seems to use the DXVA hardware to play 720p video smoothly and without serious impact on the CPU (see [...]). br / br / InAt the beginning of the review, I said that the system comes with its own set of compromises. This is for a number of reasons, not necessarily the reason for the failure of the product come true. By the standards of the netbook, the screen resolution is excellent, the CPU is fast, the price is right (if a little "more than most other netbooks), and bits of memory. The rules of the ultraportable, the CPU is slower than molasses and the screen resolution is average. By any standard battery life is poor(approx 3 hours) during normal use. br / br / If you opt for something that can play 3 hours video, and make more than a standard netbook at a reasonable price, look no further. If you want to do heavy work, the calculation of the figures, virtualization and multi-task seriously, would you consider a true ultraportable. There are a series of ultraportables on the market at a reasonable price. If you buy directly from HP, you can create a personal DV2 with a dual-core processor, 3G WWAN,and much more. Unfortunately, if you: are these options, approaches to (or greater cost), with a genuine ultra-portable, and battery life remains compromised.br / br / With the advantages and disadvantages of the above question, I am quite satisfied with this system – which serve me very well about this for a long time to come. Originally purchased the product have not really suited for each market segment. Measured against this standard is an exceptional product. There are a number of productshave recently entered the market in competition in a segment is very similar. From the reviews on [...], these new products also compromises in some areas. But this little device crushing in terms of battery life. Choose one of the options available when I bought it, I would buy it again. Weighed against the new offerings on the market, certainly give serious consideration to a competing product.
